University Students Conference, which is the 1st conference on living with differences in Kenya.

Theme: Exploring Differences, Building Connections: A Journey of Understanding and Growth

Date: February 21–23, 2025

Venue: KPPC Center, Oloosuyian, Kajiado Central

The Kenyan Program on Pedagogies for Community (KPPC) is thrilled to announce the First KPPC Conference on Living with Differences, an engaging and transformative three-day program designed for university students passionate about exploring diversity, fostering inclusivity, and building connections across communities.

• Day 1:
  
  
  • Interactive sessions on the CEDAR pedagogy and discussions on community and belonging.

  • Discussion on the Rule 2- Community and Belonging (Belonging is not Fungible) 
  
  
  • Collaborative group activities and a movie night featuring reflections on the Nubian community of Kenya.
  
  
  
  


• Day 2:
  
  
  
  • Travel to the Bomas of Kenya to explore cultural diversity.
  
  
  • Discussion on the Rule 9- Shared experience vs shared meaning (Allow experience to precede judgement)
  
  
  • Reflective panel discussion on bridging divides.
  
  
  
  


• Day 3:
  
  
  
  • Sessions on knowledge, control, and practical applications of the CEDAR pedagogy in campus and community settings.
  
  
  • Collaboration-building with KPPC and certificate distribution.
